Pleasant Valley rallies in bottom of seventh to knock off newly installed No. 1 White Plains

Pleasant Valley scored two runs on consecutive bases-loaded hit batsmen to cap a four-run rally in the bottom of the seventh that lifted it to a 10-9 victory over newly installed 4A No. 1 White Plains Friday.
 
The Lady Raiders, ranked fifth in Class 3A, trailed 9-5 going into the home sixth. They got a run on Rylee Haynes’ leadoff homer, but still trailed 9-6 going into the seventh.

Chandler Dorsett moved them closer with a two-run homer. They loaded the bases with two singles and a walk. Cortney Williams was hit with a 2-0 pitch to bring Haynes home with the tying run and then Bailey Harris was hit with the first pitch of the at-bat to bring home Lindsey Pritchett with the winning run.
 
Dorsett went 3-for-4 with four RBIs and Haynes went 3-for-3 for Pleasant Valley. Savannah White hit a three-run homer in the fourth and Jordan Hinton and Callyn Martin hit back-to-back homers in the sixth for White Plains.
 
The Lady Wildcats were last ranked No. 1 in the final regular season Class 3A poll of 2014.
