JACKSONVILLE –
Madison Borders and Leah Patterson held Oxford to one run on four hits and Pleasant Valley rallied from an early deficit to score a 3-1 softball victory Thursday.

Oxford scored in the first when Sarah Howell rode home on Emily Thrasher’s sacrifice fly, but it was all PV after that.

The Lady Raiders tied the game in the bottom of the inning when Savannah Williams hit the first of her two doubles and scored on a throwing error. They took the lead in the fifth when Rylee Haynes hit a two-run double off the left centerfield fence and scored when Lindsey Pritchett reached on an error.

PV added an insurance run in the sixth when Williams hit her second double and scored on an RBI single by Cortney Williams.
