Several athletes in a variety of sports signed college scholarships Wednesday; several answered the call from East Alabama Sports Today and provided photos of the occasion

In the run-up to the football signing day, Piedmont’s Mason Mohon signed a baseball scholarship with Southern Union. Bison baseball coach Jabo Jordan thinks Mohon can be a fine middle infielder for the team.

Flanked by her parents and Pleasant Valley softball coach David Bryant, PV’s Cortney Williams signs to play with Coastal Alabama CC. Over the past two seasons at PV, Williams has batted .328 with 11 homers and 53 RBIs.
Payton Thrasher, a two-way starting lineman at Alexandria, is joined by his parents after signing with Culver-Stockton College in the Valley Cubs’ library.
