SYLACAUGA – Fred Dickerson always seems ready to make an early impact.
Dickerson scored 10 of his game-high 20 points in the first quarter, including both of his 3-pointers, to send Talladega on its way to a 69-53 win over Winterboro in the Talladega County Tournament Wednesday night.
With career win No. 702 for coach Chuck Miller, the Tigers advance to play Childersburg in Friday’s 6 p.m. semifinal.
Dickson also had four assists and three steals. He and Ashton Duncan each scored six in the second quarter as the Tigers opened a 46-19 lead. Duncan finished with 15 points.
