Donoho goes 1-5 in Shrimp Fest volleyball tournament

GULF SHORES — The Donoho volleyball team had a tough time of it in the Shrimp Fest Tournament here against some stout competition.
The Falcons went 1-5 in the event, losing to Gulf Shores in the Bronze Bracket finals.
They lost to Guntersville (25-22, 25-18), Robertsdale (25-22, 25-13), Fairhope (25-19, 25-19) and Daphne (25-17, 28-26) in pool play. They defeated Alabama Christian (25-9, 25-22) in the Bronze Bracket semifinals before falling to Gulf Shores 25-14, 25-19.
Jordan Ray led the Falcons with a combined 24 kills, eight aces, 58 assists and 23 digs. Kayla Wallace had 13 kills, four aces and 55 digs. Madison Gaines had 22 kills and five aces. Anna Marie Woodfin had 46 digs.
