Alexandria wins 7-8 Rookie state title

MUSCLE SHOALS — Alexandria beat Taylorville in a close game and then routed Enterprise to win the Dixie Youth 7-8 Rookie state championship Wednesday.
Manager Adam Browning’s team beat Taylorville 5-4 and Enterprise 14-6.
All three teams entered the day with one loss in the nine-team tournament.
Browning was assisted by coaches Craig Bearden, Jonathan Heathcock and Jeremy Forrest.
