Cleburne County rolls to first 5-0 start since 2007. Alexandria, Piedmont stay unbeaten. Jacksonville tops Central-Clay in Land’s return. Hunter powers Ohatchee to victory, and White Plains gets first win. (Will be updated as information from more games becomes available)

CLEBURNE COUNTY 59, ASHVILLE 7: Jaylon Baker completed nine of 13 passes for 230 yards and four touchdowns, and Cleburne County is off to a 5-0 start for the first time since 2007.
The Tigers are 3-0 in Class 3A, Region 4.
Lyric Ware caught five passes for 144 yards and three touchdowns and had a 72-yard kickoff return. Cade Shubert had three catches for 76 yards and a touchdown, and Kobe Hale returned a punt 50 yards for a touchdown.
Randall Brown rushed for a team-high 54 yards on six carries, and Alijah Ware had 34 yard on eight carries and a touchdown.
The Tigers held Ashville (1-4, 0-3) to 27 total yards.
ALEXANDRIA 47, SYLACAUGA 21: Cole Wheeler completed all 13 of his passes for 318 yards and three touchdowns, and Alexandria mounted a big second half after trailing 21-14 at halftime.
The Valley Cubs rose to 4-0 overall, 3-0 in Class 4A, Region 6.
Evan White’s 41-yard interception return for a touchdown got Alexandria’s 21-point third quarter started, and Wheeler connected with White for an 85-yard touchdown pass on the other side of J.J. Beason’s 5-yard touchdown run.
Wheeler also threw touchdown passes of 89 yards to Beason and 16 yards to M.J. Morris and rushed one yard for a touchdown, and Ashton Brunner returned a fumble one yard for a touchdown.
Corey Owens rushed for a team-best 58 yards, and Beason added 55.
Sylacauga is 2-3, 0-3.
JACKSONVILLE 28, CENTRAL-CLAY 14: Cross Land connected on 15 of 20 passes for 172 yards and a touchdown in his return off of an AHSAA-imposed two-game restitution, and Jacksonville (3-2) improved to 3-0 in Class 4A, Region 6.
The AHSAA found that Land, who transferred from Auburn, played the season’s first two games while ineligible and imposed a forfeit on Jacksonville’s 34-8 victory over Piedmont. He also played in a 31-21 loss at Oxford.
He sat out of Jacksonville’s victories over Lincoln and Sylacauga.
Central-Clay’s 5 rushed for 102 yards, and 2 completed a 32-yard touchdown pass to 43. 2 also returned a blocked punt five yards for a touchdown.
The Vols fell to 2-3, 1-2.
PIEDMONT 54, GASTON 6: Jaxson Howard rushed for 110 yards and three touchdowns, and Piedmont (5-0) upped to 3-0 in Class 2A, Region 6. Howard’s touchdown runs covered two, one and 12 yards.
Isaiah Pinto added 67 yards rushing, including a 19-yard touchdown run.
Cole Austin completed seven of eight passes for 257 yards and four touchdowns. He threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Bentley Chander, a 58-yarder to Carson Sanders, a 32-yarder to Carson Cleveland and a 70-yarder to Mason Morrow.
Zyien Dupree had Gaston’s lone touchdown, a 4-yard run.
OHATCHEE 45, VINCENT 40: Gus Hunter rushed for 142 yards and four touchdowns, and Ohatchee (3-2) improved to 2–1 in Class 2A, Region 6.
Jayden Siegler added 118 yards rushing and two touchdowns.
Sawyer Beegle hit on three of six passes for 105 yards and a touchdown pass to Kaleb Brunner.
Vincent fell to 1-4, 0-3.
WHITE PLAINS 35, MUNFORD 0: Jayden Murray rushed for a team-best 66 yards, and Antonio Woods added 52 as the Wildcats moved to 1-3 on the season, 1-2 in Class 3A, Region 4.
Woods had two 2-yard touchdown runs, and Will Graham had a 29-yard touchdown run.
Quarterback Crew Martin added a 3-yard touchdown run and threw a 27-yard touchdown pass to Bryson Cheatwood. Walker Edwards completed three of four passes for 33 yards.
Munford is 1-3, 1-2.
