Glover has hot hand as Piedmont boys complete sweep. White Plains, Pleasant Valley, Ranburne boys victorious. Piedmont, Ranburne, Cherokee County and Coosa Christian girls win.

CENTRE — Nick Glover hit six 3-pointers on the way to a game-high 27 points, and Piedmont’s boys beat Weaver 80-69 on Friday in a game moved to Gadsden State Community College’s Centre campus.

Class 3A No. 7 Piedmont improved to 10-4.

Ben Dempsey’s 15 points included two 3-pointers. Rollie Pinto and Eli Jpohnson added 13 points apiece, and Johnson hit three 3-pointers.

Weaver’s D.J. Marbury hit three 3-pointers on the way to 20 points. Cisco Nira’s 13 points included two 3-pointers, and Junior Allen added 11 points.“

WHITE PLAINS 51, CHEROKEE COUNTY 46: Bryson Cheatwood led White Plains with 16 points, and the Wildcats picked up an area win while improving to 13-7.

Will Graham and Bruce Downey added 12 points apiece, and Harmon Cobb contributed nine.

Cherokee County’s Tatum Perry hit three 3-pointers on the way to 12 points, and Owen Jacoway added 10. 

CLEBURNE COUNTY 66, LINCOLN 52: Lyric Ware scored 19 points, including two 3-pointers, and Class 4A No. 7 Cleburne County improved to 16-1.

Cade Shubert added 12 points, including two 3-pointers. Caleb Fields scored 10 points and Landon Lolmaugh nine.

Lincoln’s Brayden Collins hit three 3-pointers on the way to 16 points, and Amari Bell added 15 points.

PLEASANT VALLEY 68, CEDAR BLUFF 54: Braxton Salster amassed 25 points, eight rebounds, two steals and two blocks, and Pleasant Valley improved to 10-6 overall, 3-2 area.

Jake Barnwell turned in 21 points and six rebounds, and Cooper Dougal paired 10 points with nine assists.

Cedar Bluff’s Zachary Jones had 19 points, and Kuper Bradley added 13.

RANBURNE 51, VINCENT 47: Seth McAdams hit two 3-pointers on the way to 20 points, and Ranburne upped to 9-8 overall, 2-1 area. He also had six rebounds.

Aiden Whitman added 12 points and five rebounds, and Creed Young scored nine points to go with nine rebounds.

Lane Mims led Vincent with 16 points, including three 3-pointers. Zahmir McMillon added 10.

ONEONTA 56, WESTBROOK CHRISTIAN 54: Brady Carden turned in 22 points, 10 rebounds, two steals and an assist, but Westbrook fell to 13-5.

Titus Jones added 15 points, four steals, four assists and two rebounds. Bo Kilgo added three points. five rebounds, two assists and a steal.

Girls

PIEDMONT 45, WEAVER 39: Piedmont got 11 points apiece from Amiyah Thomas, Kenzie Prater and Nakia Bothwell and improved to 8-7. Prater hit three 3-pointers.

Weaver’s Aaliyah Marks poured in a game-high 24 points, and Charlee Diamond added eight.

RANBURNE 44, VINCENT 28: Maranda Ralston led the way with 13 points, and Class 2A No. 8 Ranburne improved to 15-3, 3-0 area. Kallie Burson added 12 points, and Tinley Phillips scored nine.

CHEROKEE COUNTY 83, WHITE PLAINS 8: Taniya Fife hit you 3-pointers on the way to leading Cherokee County with 17 points, and Brooklynn Bruce’s 10 points included two 3-pointers.

The Warriors also got nine points from Mattie Green and eight apiece from Ellisan Givens and Nevaeh Gaidurgis.

Brooksly Theilker led White Plains with five points, and Parker Stephens hit a 3-pointer.

COOSA CHRISTIAN 67, DONOHO 32: Ryleigh Dupree poured in 23 points to lead Coosa Christian. She hit two 3-pointers.

Natellie Delp contributed 19 points, and Sarah Kate Christopher added nine.

Donoho’s Maddie Shute hit four 3-pointers on the way to 19 points.
