One more ride

JCA’s Miller, grandson Lee eye final game together as coach and QB, perhaps Miller’s final game as head coach after Thunder downs Cornerstone to earn return trip to CFA final.

JACKSONVILLE — Noah Lee has one more football game to play for Jacksonville Christian Academy, one more game to play for his grandfather.

Lee’s grandfather just might be approaching the final game of a 41-year coaching career. At least he has hinted that this could be his final season.

What’s certain is that Tommy Miller and his Jax State commit grandson will ride together once more, going for one more Christian Football Association title.

Lee passed for six touchdown passes and ran for another score, and Jacksonville Christian beat Cornerstone 56-21 in a CFA semifinal Friday at JCA.

The Thunder (7-3) will return to Tuscaloosa to defend their CFA state title Nov. 7. They will battle Russell Christian, the team JCA beat in last year’s final.
