Weaver wins Tiger Invitational in Childersburg. Cherokee County wins Curry’s Smith Lake Invitational. WP goes 4-3, Donoho 2-3 at Smith Lake.

CHILDERSBURG — Weaver won the Tiger Invitational, and Cleburne County took second place.
Weaver beat Childersburg 25-18, 25-9, Cleburne County 25-23, 25-23, Talladega 25-13, 25-12 and Saks 25-13, 25-15. Individual statistics were not available.
CHEROKEE COUNTY: The Warriors (9-0) won Curry’s Smith Lake Invitational on Saturday, beating Sumiton Christian 25-11, 25-12, West Morgan 23-25, 25-14, 15-6, Winston County 27-25, 25-21, Fayette County 25-20, 25-11, Addison 25-11, 25-17, Mortimer Jordan 25-17, 25-22 and Madison County 25-14, 25-12.

— Nevaeh Gaidurgis: 65 kills, 25 digs, 10 aces, five blocks, five assists.
— Ellisan Givens: 60 digs, 16 aces, 16 assists.

WHITE PLAINS: The Wildcats finished in the silver bracket finals at Curry’s Smith Lake Invitational, going 4-3 on the day. They beat Lynn 25-8, 25-15, lost to Mortimer Jordan 13-25, 20-25, lost to Helena 14-25, 25-17, 13-15, beat Donoho 25-8, 14-25, 15-11, beat Cordova 29-27, 25-11, beat Fayette County 25-14, 25-11 and lost to West Morgan 20-25, 22-25.
