Wortham homers as Randolph County concludes strong finish to regular season with victory over Central-Clay.

LINEVILLE — Brantlee Wortham went 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBIs and four runs, and Randolph County concluded the softball regular season with a 13-9 victory over Central-Clay on Wednesday.

The Tigers, winners of eight of their last nine games, are 22-8-2. 

Ansley Pike had a single and two RBIs, and the Tigers got a single and RBI apiece from Kinsley Weathers, Talee Sims, Lizzie Milam and Gracie Huckeba. Sims scored three runs, and Weathers scored two.

Macie Smith went 2-for-5.

Autumn Taylor got the win, allowing five hits and one earned run with three strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings of work.
