Oxford girls get five players in double figures, open the new year by rolling to victory over Moody at home, 83-50.

OXFORD — Tennessee State signee Xai Whitfield hit two 3-pointers en route to 25 points, and Oxford’s girls downed visiting Moody 83-50 On Wednesday.
Whitfield hit 8 of 14 shots. She also have five rebounds and three steals.
Oxford’s other top performers:
—Jordyn McRae: 13 points (two 3-pointers).
—Ava Thomas: 13 points (two 3-pointers), six rebounds.
—Shay Montgomery: 12 points, nine rebounds, one steal, one block.
—Jamea Gaston: 10 points (one 3-pointer), six rebounds.
