White Plains boys roll to victory at Sandestin. Jacksonville falls in Supreme Courts tourney. Pleasant Valley girls get first victory.

Playing in the 29th annual Hilton Sandestin Invitational boys’ orange bracket, Josh Wheeler led four White Plains players in double figures with 14 points, hitting three 3-pointers as the Wildcats beat Bayside Academy 65-43 on Wednesday.

The Wildcats other top performers:

—Coleman Ray: 10 points (two 3-pointers).
—Silas Hines: 10 points.
—Cam Almon: 10 points.

DECATUR 43, JACKSONVILLE 37: Playing in the Supreme Courts tourney in Guntersville, Devin Barksdale hit two 3-pointers and scored 15 points to lead Jacksonville.

The Golden Eagles’ other top performers:

—Jaquan Ervin: 12 points.
—Aaron Nixon: five points (one 3-pointer). 

GASTON 66, WELLBORN 51: Ollie Boot lead Wellborn with 14 points and six assists. The Panthers’ other top performers:

—Avery Odom: 11 points.
—Jackson Long: 10 points.

Gaston’s top performers:

—Mica Merriman: 35 points.
—Devon Green: 21 points.

Girls

PLEASANT VALLEY 50, TCC 46: Alexa Cranmer scored 21 points, hitting one 3-pointer, to lead the Raiders to their first victory of the season. The victory comes in Gaylesville’s Christmas tournament.

—Laney Robinson: 11 points (three 3-pointers).
—Haylie Lee: eight points.

SPRINGVILLE 47, JACKSONVILLE 43: Alexis Phillips scored 15 points to lead Jacksonville in the Etowah Christmas tournament. She hit two 3-pointers.

Jacksonville’s other top performers:

—Jayci Taylor: nine points (one 3-pointer).
—DeAsia Prothro: two points, seven rebounds, four steals, three assists.

The Golden Eagles will play Glencoe on Thursday at 10:30 a.m.
