CARROLLTON, Ga. — Oxford’s Jaylen Alexander hit a career milestone Monday.

The sophomore point guard scored 23 points in the Yellow Jackets’ 55-49 loss to Shiloh (Ga.) at at Carrollton (Ga.) High School, passing the career 1,000-point mark.

Alexander scored 14 of Oxford’s 16 fourth-quarter points. He hit 11 of 15 free throws on the day.

Oxford’s other top performers:

—Marcus Perry, Jr.: six points (two 3-pointers).
—Jordan Kelley: six points (two 3-pointers).

PLEASANT VALLEY 47, WOODLAND 35: Braxton Salster scored a game-high 18 points, and Pleasant Valley improved to 5-4 overall, 2-0 in Class 2A, Area 11 play.

The Raiders have held opponents to 49 points or less in all five of their wins.

Pleasant Valley’s other top performers:

—Jaden Sparks: 11 points (two 3-pointers).
—Hunter Sparks: six points.
—Noah Johnson: six points.

B.B. COMER, 70, WESTBROOK CHRISTIAN 48: Chris Wilson scored 18 points, and B.B. Comer advanced to face Ragland in the Ragland Christmas Tournament.
