Host Munford finishes as runner up to Sylacauga in Talladega County tournament. Brewster, Bullock make all-tourney team

MUNFORD — Host Munford went 2-2 in the Talladega County volleyball tournament, falling to Sylacauga in the final.
The Lions opened with a three-set loss to Lincoln, 19-25, 25-19, 12-15, then beat Talladega 25-10, 25-14 and Lincoln 21-25, 25-14, 15-13 to reach the final.
Munford lost to Sylacauga 23-25, 24-26.
Munford’s Lauryn Brewster and Bella Bullock made the all-tournament team. Top performers for the Lions:
—Kaylyn Turner: two digs, 35 kills.
—Breanna Hailes: three digs.
—Brewster: two digs, one block, 15 kills.
—Mylie Stephens: seven digs, four blocks, 19 kills.
—Christiny Putnam: three digs, one assist, six kills.
—Saraya Henderson: 16 digs, six aces, one assist, one kill.
—Alys Mosley: 20 digs, one assist, two kills.
—Kastin Lathem: 27 digs, six aces, 43 assists.
—Ashtyn Bishop: 28 digs, three aces, one assist.
—Brooklyn Pressley: 16 digs, five aces.
—Bullock: four digs, one ace, four kills.
