PIEDMONT — Rebecca Henderson led the way with nine kills, and Ohatchee beat Piedmont 26-24, 25-11, 25-11 to clinch the right to play host to the Class 3A, Area 10 tournament.

The Indians improved to 25-9 overall, 4-0 in area, and Henderson added 10 digs.

Other top performers for Ohatchee:

—Mackenzie Luna: seven kills, three blocks.
—Alanah Fitch: seven kills, 20 assists, six aces.
—Brett Finn: four kills, five aces, two digs.
—Kiana Garber: two kills, four digs.
—Ellie Carden: seven digs.

JACKSONVILLE: At White Plains, the Golden Eagles swept the Wildcats 25-14, 26-24, 25-23 in Class 4A, Area 10 play. Jacksonville clinched the right to play host to the area tournament.

Top performers for the Golden Eagles:

—Sydney Soriano: one kill, 30 assists, one block, eight digs.
—Camryn Stone: three aces, 11 kills, one block, three digs.
—Mya Swain: eight kills, four blocks, two digs.
—Nyla Hoult: two aces, 11 kills, one dig.
—Alexis Phillips: one ace, six kills, one block, nine digs.
—Jehenna Engram: three aces, one kill, eight digs.
—Karli Barnwell: two aces, 10 digs.
—Chloe Henderson: six digs.

MUNFORD: The Lions beat Handley 25-16, 25-8, 25-23 in Class 4A, Area 8 play to clinch the right to play host to the area tournament. They also celebrated senior night, honoring Kaylyn Turner, Ellie Jones and Aubrey Lathem.

—Breanna Hailes: one kill.
—Ellie Jones: one ace.
—Lauryn Brewster: three kills.

—Kastin Lathem: two aces, 29 assists, two digs.
—Ashtyn Bishop: one assist, seven digs.

ALEXANDRIA: The Valley Cubs swept a trimatch at home, beating Sylacauga 25-19, 25-20 and Donoho 25-13, 25-10 to improve to 38-4 on the season. Top performers for Alexandria:

—Kailey Dickerson: 16 kills, eight digs, one block, eight aces.
—Eryn Spradley: 14 kills, two digs, one block.
—Kirsten Heathcock: two kills.
—Cassidy Hartsfield: seven kills, two digs, six blocks.
—Kaden Pritchett: two kills, four digs, two blocks.
—Devan White: five assists, 18 digs, three aces.

WELLBORN: After finishing second in Guntersville’s Supreme Courts silver bracket over the weekend and beating Ranburne on Monday, the Panthers swept a trimatch at Glencoe on Tuesday, beating Hokes Bluff 25-12, 25-8 and Glencoe 20-25, 25-10, 14-11.

PLEASANT VALLEY: The Raiders lost to Spring Garden 21-25, 16-25, 31-33. Top performers for Pleasant Valley (17-11):

OXFORD: The Yellow Jackets lost a five-setter to Fort Payne in Class 6A, Area 13 play, 25-16, 16-25, 25-20, 17-25 and 9-15. Top performers for Oxford (24-8).

CHEROKEE COUNTY: The Warriors beat Ashville 25-17, 2-17, 19-25, 25-17 and Lincoln 25-14, 25-12 The victory over Ashville clinched Cherokee County (20-11) the right to play host to the Class 4A, Area 11 tournament.
