ALEXANDRIA — Oxford won the Champions Sports Academy tournament, beating St. Clair County 24-14, 25-5, Westbrook Christian 25-22, 25-10, Jacksonville 25-21, 25-10 and Sand Rock 25-18, 25-15 to reach the finals.
Oxford beat Cherokee County 25-18, 25-13 in the final. Top performers for Oxford (16-5):

The Valley Cubs (18-3) swept Cullman 25-10, 25-21 and Guntersville 25-19, 25-22 then lost to Class 7A top-ranked Bob Jones 16-25, 20-25 and Franklin (Tenn.) 25-20, 11-25, 9-15 in pool play.
In silver-bracket play, Alexandria swept Sylacauga 25-17, 25-17 and Fort Payne 25-17, 25-20 to get to the final. Top performers for Alexandria:
