All-Calhoun County track

Ohatchee’s Crook gets it done at county, state, completes sweep of top All-Calhoun County honors in her three sports as a senior. Oxford’s Delozier repeats as girls’ coach of year.

Jorda Crook stood on the top podium spot twice at the state meet at Cullman and had a second-place finish to back up three first-place finishes at the Calhoun County meet. She is East Alabama Sports Today’s choice for girls’ All-Calhoun County track athlete of the year for 2023. As a senior, she also was 1A-3A player of the year in volleyball and girls’ basketball. Oxford’s Landon Delozier repeats as the All-Calhoun County coach of the year for girls’ track after Oxford’s girls claimed their second consecutive county title. Sprinter Keziah Mickler and distance runner Katie Keur each won three events at county. Chaci Whitfield won two events with a second-place finish, and she went on to finish fourth in the state heptathlon competition.
