Smash It Sports Vipers’ Fiser, USSSA Pride’s Carda pitch three-hitters. Aguilar’s first-inning RBI single stands up as Pride wins 1-0

VIERA, Fla. — Ali Aguilar’s first-inning RBI single stood up as the game’s only run as the USSSA Pride edged Oxford’s Smash It Sports Vipers 1-0 in Women’s Professional Fastpitch action Tuesday.

Otherwise, the Vipers’ Amber Fiser and the Pride’s Ally Carda dominated while pitching complete games. Fiser worked six innings, allowing three hits with three strikeouts and two walks. Carda allowed three hits with seven strikeouts and two walks over seven innings.

Both teams left six runners on base.

Suzy Brookshire, Makena Smith and Alissa Dalton accounted for the Vipers’ hits.

The Vipers (5-14) continue their road trip with a three-game series at the Texas Smoke, starting Thursday.
