Ronnie Royal scored three touchdowns and threw for another as Alexandria earned victory No. 601 all-time Friday in a 38-14 win over Corner.

The Valley Cubs didn’t start scoring until the second quarter and then scored 38 straight points. Royal scored on runs of 12 and 43 yards in the second quarter, then caught a 35-yard touchdown pass from Wesley Wright and threw a 65-yard TD pass of his own to Antonio Ross in the third quarter.

Their other points came on a 47-yard goal by Luis Torres on the last play of the first half.

Royal rushed for 94 yards on nine carries. The Valley Cubs rushed for 238 yards as a team. They also threw for 162 yards.

Cherokee Co. 48, White Plains 12

CENTRE – Slade Alexander, Damien Ramsey and Whit Johnson all scored a pair of touchdowns as the Warriors rolled over White Plains.

Alexander ran for the first two touchdowns of the game. Ramsey also ran for his two scores. Johnson caught a pass from Cade Hopper for his first score and returned an interception for his second. Hopper threw two touchdown passes.

Ramsey was the game’s leading rusher with 123 yards on 17 carries. Alexander rushed for 65 yards.

Jaden Chatman had a big night for White Plains. He threw up 251 yards on 20-of-33 passing.

Carson Tyree caught seven passes for 94 yards, while Quin Wilson caught eight for 73. Walker O’Steen was the Wildcats’ leading rusher with 103 yards.

Ohatchee 28, Saks 8

Noah Fuller and Eli Ennis each scored a pair of touchdowns for the Indians.

Fuller scored on runs of 2 and 15 yards, while Ennis scored on runs of 3 and 75. Fuller also had an interception late in the second quarter to preserve the Indians’ 14-0 halftime lead. Saks scored a late tournament to avoid being shut out.
