Here are the results from the high school regionals involving teams in and around Calhoun County, teams with two wins advance to Birmingham

It was a tough day for the Calhoun County teams playing in the AHSAA regional volleyball tournaments Thursday.

All six teams in action were eliminated from advancing to the state tournament next week in Birmingham.

Saks (3A South), Wellborn (3A South), Alexandria (5A North) and Pleasant Valley (3A North) all won first-round matches, but were stopped in the second round. Ohatchee (2A North) and Oxford (6A North) lost in the first round.

Four teams will look to gain spots Friday — Faith Christian and Donoho in 1A North and Jacksonville and White Plains in 4A North.
