Gadsden Invitational

Three players shoot 68 to lead Championship Flight qualifying in the Gadsden Invitational. Here are the Saturday tee times.

GADSDEN – Chad Calvert birdied three of his last four holes to shoot 3-under-par 68 and grab a share of the lead after Championship Flight qualifying for the Gadsden Invitational Friday.

Calvert’s round was matched by defending champion Ty Cole and 18-year-old Georgian Daniel Fienemann. They’ll play together in Saturday’s 8 a.m. pairing.

Cole’s round featured four birdies and a bogey. Fienemann, from Peachtree City head to Central Alabama CC, shot 32 on the front.

All players in the field are eligible for Calhoun County Golf Tour points. The Calhoun County Golf Tour reminds all players to record fairway, greens and putt statistics from their rounds Saturday and Sunday.
