Three Bearcats run through first day of Beast of the Beach tournament undefeated

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. – Weaver won three of five matches and has three undefeated wrestlers have the first day of the Beast of the Beach tournament Monday.
The Bearcats beat Fort Walton Beach (39-24), South Walton (64-6) and Choctaw (44-36), but lost to Wakulla (48-17) and Auburn (41-29).
Cody Souder, Nick Souder and Kyle Clapper all went 5-0 for the Bearcats and remain in the hunt for most valuable wrestler. Caleb Allison went 3-1, while Christian Pettus and Stefon Kirby both went 3-2.
“It’s been a good day overall,” Weaver coach Andy Fulmer said. “Several younger, inexperienced guys stepped up today.”
