Miajah Bullock had a huge game for Anniston as the Lady Bulldogs clinched the No. 1 seed in 5A Area 12 with a 60-35 victory over Alexandria Tuesday night.

Bullock scored her first triple-double with 18 points, 12 rebounds and, amazingly, 15 steals.

Alexandria (7-7) kept the game within striking distance during most of the first half, but Anniston (10-4) handily took the lead into the break 23-13. Bullock had 10 of her points in the half.

Timberlyn Shurbutt battled all night for the Lady Cubs as she had 15 points, four rebounds and a pair of blocks. Conneyia Bradford had eight points and nine rebounds, while Shelby Lowery had four points with seven rebounds.

It was all Anniston, though. Raven Cooley had nine points and seven rebounds, Davia Palmer had five steals and four steals, and J’Kyra Clemons had 12 rebounds. –Jason Katz

Pell City 48, Oxford 45: Mary Luker’s 3-pointer with eight seconds left gave PC the lead, then the defense deflected Yellow Jackets’ bid to tie; Britt hit six 3s in her 22-point game for Oxford.
Winter Taylor had 13 points and seven rebounds.
