ACAA titles on line in Oxford

3 divisions playing for Alabama Christian schools state championships

OXFORD — For the third straight year the Alabama Christian Athletic Association state basketball championship is being played at the Oxford Civic Center. Games begin Thursday.

Titles will be decided in Division I boys, Division I girls and Division II boys. The boys teams from Cullman Christian (10-0), Mountain View (6-0), defending champion Union Chapel (9-0) and Victory Christian (8-0) all went through their area/region regular seasons undefeated.

Admission is $10 for an all-day ticket, $5 for students (K and younger free).

Thursday’s games

Division I Boys
New Life (Millbrook) vs. Union Chapel (Huntsville), 2 p.m.
Tabernacle (Gardendale) vs. Meadowview (Selma), 3:30 p.m.
Lindsay Lane (Athens) vs. Victory (Columbus, Miss.), 6:30 p.m.
First Assembly (Ashland) vs. Tuscaloosa Christian, 8 p.m.

Friday’s games

Division I Girls
Lindsay Lane (Athens) vs. New Life (Millbrook), 10:30 a.m.
Victory (Columbus, Miss.) vs. Tabernacle (Gardendale), noon

Division II Boys
Conecuh Springs (Union Springs) vs. Cullman Christian, 2:15 p.m.
Cornerstone (Decatur) vs. Mountain View Baptist (Birmingham), 3:45 p.m.

Division I Boys
New Life-Union Chapel winner vs. Tabernacle-Meadowview winner, 6:15 p.m.
Lindsay Lane-Victory winner vs. First Assembly-Tuscaloosa winner, 8 p.m.

Saturday’s games

Girls championship, 11:30 a.m.
